2002 Chevy Trailblazer Recall
The 2002 Chevy Trailblazer model recall was issued for possible inflator strike,
endangering the persons onboard the vehicle. The inflator of an airbag located
at the driver's side could fracture at a weld during deployment, reducing its
capability to give protection to the driver. The dealers will do the necessary
inspection and replacements on the airbag module assembly.
Safety recalls issued for 2002 Chevy Truck Trailblazer 2Wd L6-242 4.2-liter DOHC
VIN S SFI were regarding theft protection non-compliance, driver airbag inspection
and replacement, and fuel filter fitting retainer replacement. General recall
was only for cylinder liner cracking warranty extension.

were also about non-compliance of the theft protection, driver airbag inspection
and replacement, fuel filter fitting retainer replacement, insufficient high speed
gear engagement and transfer case and control module check and reprogram. General
recalls for this model was for also for cylinder liner cracking warranty extension.
