Chevy Trailblazer EXT
The Chevy Trailblazer EXT models has available 5300 V8 SFI engine that generates
290 horsepower at 6000 rpm and a torque of 325 pound per feet at 3600 rpm. The
engine is equipped with deep-skirt aluminum block for additional rigidity without
the added weight of conventional iron. There is also the coil-on-plug ignition
designed for optimum combustion and an Electronic Throttle Control for re laying
acceleration information to the Powertrain Control Module. The EXT 2003 Chevy
Trailblazer is available in base model and North Face Edition.
EXT is offering rear air conditioning and heater with rear controls, leather
wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, 8-way power driver seat, heated power
mirrors, remote keyless entry, rear defogger, overhead control, universal garage-door
opener, and digital memo recorder. The North Face Edition exterior part features
lower accent-color body cladding, body colored outside rear-view mirrors, rain-sensing
wipers, adjustable cargo shelf with table, running lamps, liftgate luggage rack,
headlamp washers, B-pillar badge, and clothsline.

Trailblazer EXT is the long-wheelbase Trailblazer, stretching 16-inch longer
to make third row seats to accommodate seven passengers. The 2-WD EXT can tow
7,200 lb while the 4WD has the capacity to tow 7,000 pounds. In the 2003 model
of the EXT offers an optional 5.3-liter V8 engine that generates 290 horsepower
at 5200 rpm and 325 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. The standard engine however is
a Vortec 4.2-liter that produces 275 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 275 lb-ft of torque
at 3600 rpm. All Trailblazers has an engine of the Vortec 4300 4.2-liter inline-6
dual overhead camshafts, 4-valve cylinder, and variable phasing intended for the
exhaust cam.
